Dr. Andras G. Pattantyus-Abraham
CEO/President/CTO
Andras Pattantyus-Abraham joined Quantum Solar in December 2009. Prior to coming to Quantum Solar, Dr. Pattantyus-Abraham was a Principal Scientist for Sargent Research Group, University of Toronto. From 2007 to 2009, he was Postdoctoral Fellow at Sargent Research Group. In 2007 and 2008, Dr. Pattantyus-Abraham served as a Research Consultant for an Optoelectronics startup and for Applied Biophysics Research Group, University of British Colombia. From 2004 to 2006 Dr. Pattantyus-Abraham was a Postdoctoral Fellow of Photonic Nanostructures Research Group, University of British Columbia.
Daryl J. Ehrmantraut
COO
Daryl Ehrmantraut brings 30 years of management experience in technology companies including four successful startups. Prior to coming to Quantum Solar, he made major contributions in transitioning startup ventures to large companies such as Sun Microsystems Canada growing from zero to 100 Million in three years. Mr. Ehrmantraut contributed to the success of Elemetric Instruments as CEO, Triton Technology Systems as President, Signalsoft Corporation as VP Worldwide Sales & Marketing, Bfound Business Unit and Osiris Systems Corporation as President. Before his transition to executive management, Ehrmantraut was responsible for software and hardware engineering functions early in his career.
Graham Hughes
CFO
Graham Hughes has served as Quantum Solarʼs Chief Financial Officer since 2009. Mr. Hughes is a graduate in Engineering from the University of Toroto (1972) and has been a Certified General Accountant for over 25 years. Mr. Hughes has been an instructor since 1982 in the School of Business at the British Columbia Institute of Technology in Vancouver, Canada and has served on the boards of several public companies during his career. Mr. Hughes also serves on Quantum Solar’s board as Secretary/Treasurer and has done so since 2007.

Gary Leach
Lead Scientist
Gary Leach an expert in advanced spectroscopy, photonics and nanoscale imaging leads Quantum’s scientific research team in the development of NGD™ technology. He is a leader in the development of new nonlinear optical techniques to probe surface structure and dynamics. His research is on the leading edge of surface and interface chemistry, the nonlinear optical properties of materials and the photoni and magnetic properties of layered and nanoscale materials.
Gary received his undergraduate degree in Physics from the University of Toronto and his graduate degree in Chemistry from the University of Toronto. He was Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada postdoctoral fellow at the University of Colorado, before joining the faculty at Simon Fraser University where he is an Associate Professor of Chemistry.
